After graduating from high school, Khadija Nazari received a scholarship to study at the American University of Afghanistan. Subsequently, she continued her studies at the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh. During the Covid epidemic she had to return to Afghanistan.
When the Taliban seized control, Khadija was able to escape and she came to the United States. Currently she is studying at Brown University with a major in International and Public Affairs.
Khadija refuses to forget the girls who are still determined to get an education in Afghanistan. She works tirelessly to support the work of SAGE.

Carol Czaja
As a researcher for the Military Research Institute at Purdue University, Carol came in contact with National Guard members deploying to or returning from Afghanistan. This opened her eyes to the complex and long-term struggles of Afghanistan. Later, when she met Khadija and learned that she was a survivor of the Taliban, Carol enthusiastically joined the team to support the clandestine school in Kabul.
